well the cpu itself has backdoors so does it even matter? it's just adding another telemetry stream to an already backdoored system to get your data to sell to maximize profit. shareholders gotta eat shit.
there's the meme of "when the computer pops up a message saying 'im afraid you can't do that, dave' when you try to pirate a movie, is the moment the public will reject this spyware shit". but that's just bullshit, there's already stuff like that. like when microshaft added the filter for words like 'autistic' or 'retard' to MS Word for a moment. Yes there was outrage but the average windows user would've swallowed it just like they swallowed windows 10 and then the broken promise of that, when they automatically updated to win 11 trash.
unless people are willing to regress in their comforts, it is never going to stop getting worse

Westoids are so deep in the propaganda hole and won't even acknowledge the mutual buildup (a "very neutral" interpretation) of military forces in late 2021 into early 2022.

Within 1 or 2 days after the formal end of the Afghanistan occupation, the US immediately picks up talks with Ukraine regarding weapons and support.

Note that many "timeline" compilations from the media will not mention any of that. Wikipedia, a website known to perpetuate US and Jewish propaganda, pretends the meeting never happened and it has no mention in any articles on the "prelude" to the invasion:

ttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_the_prelude_to_the_Russian_invasion_of_Ukraine

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prelude_to_the_Russian_invasion_of_Ukraine#Renewed_tensions_(October_2021%E2%80%93February_2022)

This is the exact same category of people that pretends the Israel-Palestine conflict started in 2023.

Anyway, I noticed performance dramatically increased (page loading & updating, not video player, it is slow by design so you use Utube's player instead). I first tested on Chrome. I dunno about IE I forgot how fast it was but its video player is faster than chrome (for several reasons, that being it doesn't recycle memory, unlike chrome, which is bloated in memory either way) so IE seeks videos a million times faster. Long live Internet Explorer! XD Viva chile mierda!

I'm guessing no evidence would change your mind but here are just some sources:
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/nov/16/poland-president-missile-strike-probably-ukrainian-stray
https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/polish-experts-confirm-missile-that-hit-grain-facility-was-ukrainian-media-2023-09-26/

and the 'unprovoked attack', was also totally provoked, putin even said when addressing his people that it was because he feared nato would make a preemtive attack on russia. of course western media failed to disclose that speech he made. which was iirc 2 weeks after kamala harris went to ukraine and in a public press briefing told that they want ukraine to join nato, which was specifically a red line for russia, and a major point in the peace agreement ukraine and russia were just about to sign before boris johnson was sent to ukraine to talk them out of it, which he did.

Books are a good way to get good round coverage, especially if they source scientific research, and the author has a career in the subject.
Philosophy doesn’t have that much of a safety net, but Simon Blackburn and Julian Baggini are quite well thought out. Some of it can be a bit confusing, but that’s probably just the nature of the field.
Self help is probably usually iffy at best and often criticized.

i dunno, figure it out.
maybe search for keywords on a topic on a searxng instance, or fuck it, even this guestbook has schizos giving more info and sources than wikipedia
i dont get how you even COULD use wikipedia
lets say youre watching roe jogan, and someone says "history false, 1936 didnt happen"
go on searxng, enter "1936 didnt happen theory" (perhaps with the double quotes to force relevant results), find the source, figure out it's just some reddit thread.
if there's tons of sources, just filter by date until you get to the first source. boom, you already have gotten way more info than wikipedia would give you. it isnt that hard to research.

Some ideas or version. Soften emphasize. Funny?

‘Companies use my data, to give me what I want.’
You think for profit corporations are solely concerned with helping you, and have no interests of their own? Many are thinking, how to get you to buy twice the crap, that’s worth half as much, for twice the price, and still make you think, you got a bargain. Or whatever you won’t notice, because you were persuaded by the socially engineered marketing spin, instead of asking yourself, ‘who can I really trust’, and searching for an independent review.

‘My friends say, and I don’t want to be rejected.’
Fine, but your friends are not experts on most subjects. They have maybe two or three things they know a lot about. Don’t trust them on anything else, for serious life guiding decisions. Look for the most knowledgeable sources you can fined. Share them with your friends and family if you like, but make sure you are getting good info flow. And don’t rely too heavily on for profit, filter bubble, search engines.

I agree with anon >>657 that privacy is a spectrum.

Also, don't forget "perfect is the enemy of good". I see privacy being similar to health. You get more healthy by eating more healthily & exercise regularly.

It's never too late to start! Be patient, it's usually a multi-year process.

Privacy suggestions (from very easy to very advanced):

1. use password manager
2. use a PO box to mask physical address
3. switch to privacy email, e.g. protonmail / tuta
4. use email alias, e.g. simplelogin / addy
5. switch to signal
6. switch to graphene os
7. switch to gnu/linux
8. switch to tor browser as "daily browser"
9. switch to privacy distro, e.g. qubes OS / whonix / tails
10. learn cryptography, the basis of privacy enhancing technology

No, the popular page is based on the subscriptions of the users registered on the Invidious instance. I can't control it, unless I delete the LastWeekTonight channel from every user in the instance, which I'm not going to do. But you have brought a good suggestion, an option to ignore channels, which is already suggested on my git server but I have not touched anything related to that.

Export .csv of?

>>637
lol I'll fix it

>>636
Seems to be a bug or something is not working on your part. That doesn't happen to me on my phone (Chromium based browser) and my pc (Firefox based browser)

>>635
That video was removed.
Anon us on 2025-05-03 23:08 No.639
Would an export as .csv be possible? It'd be great to have an export format that's more human-readable just incase.
Anon no on 2025-05-03 20:05 No.638
Can you get LastWeekTonight off the front page? I don't want to see this british libtard faggot.

I have a small question: after i change the video quality (with JS enabled) the player's bottom menu bar stops auto-hiding for me. Is it supposed to be an invidious bug or is it on my part?

I changed the default quality from the preferences and now the captions don't cover too much of the video since the bar does hide this way.

every backend says "Error while communicating with Invidious companion: Error while communicating with Invidious companion: status code: 500 and body: "Internal Server Error""

Then send the URL from where you encountered that error. Developers can't magically detect from where X error came from; Well they can, if they add metrics and logging, but nah, too much work and added tracking that is unnecessary.

you got an internal server error in ur invidious

"They" are the Free Software-HOSTILE Militants against whom Dr. Roy Schestowitz has been exposing as of right now.

Then here's the "Reflections on Trusting Trust" by Ken Thompson, thanks to some Social Engineering by the aforementioned Militants, XZ Utils was BACKDOORed. So take the burden to look at the codes one-by-one, grab as many compilers as you can, check if any tampering happens in the binary ELF (use diff), and only take the untampered one.

Cubes is probably better than openbsd for the pc, bsd is like more for servers

privacy is a sliding scale, the less data points "they" have about you,the better (TODO define "they" yourself)

just by being not attached to consumer tech, especially phones, using openbsd or gnu+linux, disabling js by default, using vpn/tor correctly, and "containerizing" digital personae (because ultimately no one can be 100% trusted) i'm sure it's already better than 99% of people out there. so i think there's no point in being spiteful or ruining my own life LARPing as a fugitive

I agree with this. Intel ME is a fucking mess, no one knows what it does and is literally a backdoor built into the CPU.

https://hackaday.com/2016/11/28/neutralizing-intels-management-engine/
https://www.csoonline.com/article/562761/researchers-say-now-you-too-can-disable-intel-me-backdoor-thanks-to-the-nsa.html

And guess what. Your computer can run just fine without Intel ME. I disabled that thing on a laptop with a 2015 CPU ( https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/92213/intel-celeron-processor-3955u-2m-cache-2-00-ghz/specifications.html ) using ME_Cleaner and a CH341 Programmer, the ME region got neutralized, and the BIOS only complained about ME initialization when starting the laptop for less than a second.

Unless a certain Free Software-HOSTILE militant demanded that ALL (not just x86 and ARM, but also 65xx, 680x0, PPC, MIPS, SPARC, RISC-V in worst case scenario) use a FUCKing UEFI, complete with some sort of "Trusted (sic: ed TREACHEROUS) Execution Environment" (e.g. Intel ME, AMD PSP, and ARM TrustZone), >IT'S BASICALLY JAIL BUILT-IN THE CPU ITSELF!

e.g. GNU/Linux? Ungoogled Software? SCRAM, we're rebooting in 30 minutes (for Intel ME)

They argue that pixel phones have better hardware support, for example bootloader relocking (that isn't supported by Xiaomi for example), and I assume other things

I use the ultimate degoogled phone, an old nokia with the green monochrome screens. They still work where I live.

isnt graphene a scam?
why would there be only 1 actually degoogled os, and have it only support the most recent phones from a single company. a company that rolls their own ic's.
it would be trivial to put a hardware backdoor into pixel phones, then fund a project like graphene, and now everyone gets false assurance that its private and secure
uwu sg on 2025-05-02 12:44 No.621
bruh i just listen to visual novel let's plays on invidious (thanks fijxu-sama) on my comfy debian linux machine or my degoogled phone
