"Selfhosted server running on Mobile Data

Suddenly internet died and the ISP OLT started to reject my GPON Password and when I try to login on the ISP portal to check if everything is OK with the bills, it says I can't login for some reason, so this is the fault of my ISP. Sorry for the inconveniences.

Only light services will be running on the selfhosted server for now. Invidious is impossible to host and the traffic would be so high that my mobile internet wouldn't be able to keep it up with the high amount of connections.

Selfhosted server will be up for approximately 9 hours and will be down again since I will probably need to pull up my phone from the server to be able to call my ISP, and even worse, I'll need to go to their shops so I can get support. Pretty shit

Is it because the ytdl that mpv uses only wants to connect to youtube if you give it an invidious link? I tried the same thing years ago and it just wouldn't work.


Anyway, something really useful would be to be able to block/replace the irrelevant engagement farms that appear on the recommended feed or whatever they call it now. I know this isn't possible since invidious can't ask YT in the request for different stuff but at least blocking other channels appearing would be better.

BTW (assuming explaining this isn't going to help Google at all) why is Invidious Companion (Chile) and it's proxy so prone to going down compared to all the other backends? (currently at 0% uptime, and this is far from the 1st time I've seen this)

I been more than a year now that I stopped using google services completely and have been using frontends like invidious to stay in the loop when it comes to some of my favorite creators. No matter what I can rely on your service to do that. I have a habit of falling asleep to Oneyplays and I have consistently been able to go to your instance to get it. I load audio only but I don't know if that saves any bandwidth for you or not.

And it will also increase the current load of my backends, because what most people do, including myself, is skip songs very repetitively, and on each skip, it will trigger a new request to fetch the video or music video.

Hyperpipe for private use with Invidious companion should work fine. Or even better, integrate YouTube.js into. Hyperpipe.

On Invidious, I noticed that mirrored images sometimes display different images for whatever reason, most obviously when a random ass profile picture shows up on a banner and takes up the entire page.
