BTW (assuming explaining this isn't going to help Google at all) why is Invidious Companion (Chile) and it's proxy so prone to going down compared to all the other backends? (currently at 0% uptime, and this is far from the 1st time I've seen this)

I been more than a year now that I stopped using google services completely and have been using frontends like invidious to stay in the loop when it comes to some of my favorite creators. No matter what I can rely on your service to do that. I have a habit of falling asleep to Oneyplays and I have consistently been able to go to your instance to get it. I load audio only but I don't know if that saves any bandwidth for you or not.

And it will also increase the current load of my backends, because what most people do, including myself, is skip songs very repetitively, and on each skip, it will trigger a new request to fetch the video or music video.

Hyperpipe for private use with Invidious companion should work fine. Or even better, integrate YouTube.js into. Hyperpipe.

On Invidious, I noticed that mirrored images sometimes display different images for whatever reason, most obviously when a random ass profile picture shows up on a banner and takes up the entire page.

As a content creator you can never escape the low popularity, especially if you aren't making clickbait or your content is more obscure in general.

Because being Reddit-lite has no advantages to the user over Reddit, only downsides. This is a problem ecountered by a lot of things nowdays not just social media/software/services since they don't even have a niche of their own.

Take the youtube alternatives for example, how often do you get told to use rumble, odysee dailymotion etc. the drones keep telling you how good those are yet they don't use them themselves. YT has an already existing catalog + popularity + community meaning that copycats have no chance at seriously competing with it since the user has to come back to YT anyway.
