There are much more than that. You don't hear about them often because they're pretty small and break much quicker since they don't have like 7 backends to retrieve a video.

Invidious keeps putting members only videos in my subscriptions, showing members only videos on channels as if they were normal videos, and putting them in the different kind of suggestions/trending.

Is there some way you can make it clear a video is members only without having to click on it? Can you just stop showing the members only videos? Is there some way I can get Invidious to play members only videos, like by connecting a YouTube account, but only connecting it for memberships?

Relax, the invidious dev's are already aware of the issue and working on a fix. I'm sure Fijxu and the other invidious dev's will have a fix out soon enough. Maybe wait a few days before panicking.

In the meantime just use GrayJay (witch still works for YouTube content) or better yet a non-Youtube platform to keep yourself entertained.

I started using Invidious in 2019, i don't know exactly how i learned about it. What i can tell you is that back then Omarroth was the original dev behind Invidious, and it obviously worked much better without the YT blockages.
A video failing to load happened like once a year and that was it.

invidious.io - the original instance, which worked the best.
invidious.fdn.fr - died in 2024, was very good, managed by frenchghosty (one of the current devs)
vid.puffyan.us - also one of my favorites, dead too
invidious.snopyta.org - dead, only shows a list of instances nowdays, if you disable javascript you'll get an older list that isn't generated.

yewtu.be is probably the oldest instance that still functions, run by unixfox which still works on invidious

I got started in the rabbit hole when I found out about Linux due to how lightweight it is compared to Windows. I was using an HP Stream 13 at the time and I just wanted to enjoy RuneScape without the thing shitting itself too much.

Trying to understand what you do without feeling that you should be doing something else (a specific flavor of guilt) Takes a lot of guts, sometimes a lot of research, sometimes the answer is on your mind, a combo of both.

Especially when you find you're only one doing it - I am the only one on several things, but does not mean I am stopping it, I may use Invidious, I may use Phantom, I may even use the latter for unintended purposes (It has a proxy that lets me access sites from Internet Explorer lol)

Getting plenty of "This content isn't available, try again later." errors even on videos that are available in other instances or after refreshing 30 trillion times.

this seems like another instance block error, but it isn't clear that it is (or at least that the video is available but can't be viewed by the instance) so it gets quite confusing.

I think Invidious B1 (CA) status on the service status page may be bugged. I'm consistently getting "This helps protect our community. Learn more" errors whenever I try to watch anything on that backend today, including just before I typed this, but the status page lists it's Invidious Companion as being all green for the last 40min (even if it's reading as 68.55% functional)
